Some cases when I've used Cheat Engine to improve my gaming experience: Don't be dissuaded by the name - it's not cheating if you're just skipping tedious bits. Cheat Engine's Speed Hack is a very handy tool for skipping through boring bits in games. I hadn't seen this mentioned here, so I thought I'd post a public notice for Single Player gamers.
